Dr Alex Ng
Dr. Alex Ng holds a PhD degree in Computer Science, a Master of Technology (MTech) degree in Software Engineering both from Macquarie University, Australia and a BSc. degree in Electronics from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He has taken up various positions in banks and software vendors, such as communication systems consultant and technical support manager. He is currently a Research Fellow in the Computing Department of Macquarie University. His research interests span the fields of Middleware Technologies, Optimisation Strategies for Service Oriented Architecture, Reliable Distributed Content Delivery for Digital Repository System and Cybercrime in Service Oriented Computing. His work for the Distributed Access and Data Annotation for the Human Communication Sciences (DADA-HCS) project researches into using open source systems, such as Apache Jakarta Slide WebDAV content management system andShibboleth authentication System for the effective serving of HCS corpora over the Internet.As a member of the Cybercrime Research Lab and his contribution will be in the analysis and mitigation of cybercrime in the Service Oriented Computing paradigm.
